D.I.Y. Sheet Holder Instructions

You can easily make a practical, inexpensive, water resistant sheet holder yourself.

Materials:
  • Plastic zipper bag large enough to hold a letter sized sheet of paper
  • (3) double sided Velcro straps each approximately 8 inches long
  • [Optional] Clear packing tape
Procedure:
It's as easy as 1-2-3!
  1. Cut three pairs of slits in one side of the plastic as indicated in the diagram below. For extra reinforcement place clear packing tape over the cut area first; this is especially useful for thin bags.
  2. Place one Velcro strap through each pair of slits.
  3. Wrap the Velcro straps around your handlebars and stem.
In the end you'll have something like this:

Break Out The Boom Boxes!

The Radiator 105.9FM WOMM-LP Logo
105.9FM The Radiator supports Bike Party.

Burlington's own low-power, non-commercial community radio station WOMM-LP 105.9FM The Radiator is giving over their airwaves from 8-9PM to let us crank out the jams. So buy some fresh batteries, dig out those bungees and bring your boom boxes along!

* The Radiator does have an internet stream available, but it is not synchronized so use a radio if you can. Chester the cat approves.

Seven Days Mention

The local alternative weekly paper today published their Summer Preview issue and included is an article on cycling that does not forget about the only monthly casual ride in town.

Seven Days - For Biking Aficionados: New Tours, Trails and Two-Wheelers

"And who says cycling has to be sweaty and achy? Not the Burlington Bike Party, a puckish group[...] Serious about having fun on two wheels, these enthusiasts embark on a chatty, slow-paced, two-hour ride around town, with participants encouraged to wear costumes and make music."

Amen! Come enjoy the ride with us on May 30th! No "sufferfest" here :) Special musical announcement coming this Friday, stay tuned!
